THE AMERICAN CHEESE SOCIETY
AGROPUR WINS NUMEROUS AWARDS!

Longueuil, August 9, 2007 - The Agropur Fine Cheese Division was recognized no less than seven times during the American Cheese Society's 24th annual competition, held in Burlington, U.S., July 31 through August 4, 2007. Their Ricotta Prestigio and Brie Chevalier Triple Crème each took First Prize in their respective categories, "Ricotta Made from Cow's Milk" and "Triple Crème Soft Ripened". The other Agropur winners were:

2nd Prize:
Brie L'Extra D.C. - Soft Ripened Cheeses Category, Brie Cheese Made from Cow's Milk
Chevrita - Soft Ripened Cheeses Made from Goat's Milk Category

3rd Prize:
Délicrème Nature - Fresh Unripened Cheeses Made from Cow's Milk Category
Oka - American Originals Made from Cow's Milk Category
Champfleury - Washed Rind Cheeses Made from Cow's Milk Category

This year's competition was fierce. There was a record number of entries with 1,208, 27% more than the previous year, making the ACS Cheese Competition the biggest in U.S. history.

The American Cheese Society was founded in 1983. Their annual competition is among the most prestigious in the world, showcasing the finest products from North American cheese companies.
