Elected Leaders
Thirteen Agropur members sit on the board of directors, along with three guest members. The role of the Board is to oversee the Cooperative’s business activities and internal affairs, and to exercise all the authority and powers legally vested in the Cooperative. It plays a central role in the organization’s governance. In addition to its legal and fiduciary responsibilities, the Board approves the Cooperative’s mission, vision and orientations, its budgets and capital expenditures, based on internal policies.
The directors are elected by all the delegates for a three year term (except as adjusted during the transition period following the amendments to the bylaws in 2014). Their terms may be renewed. The guest members are appointed by the Board.
