Agropur welcomes new Ukrainian colleagues
Over the past year, Agropur has welcomed new Ukrainian refugee colleagues in its Beauceville, Granby and Saint-Laurent plants. We recognize their resilience and skills, which are put to use both in their work and in their daily lives as they try to integrate into our society. We also applaud the solidarity and caring of our employees in facilitating their integration into our facilities. Our Ukrainian colleagues recently spoke about their integration in Quebec and in their work environment. We invite you to consult these Radio-Canada reports on our Ukrainian workers in Granby and Beauceville (available only in French).
We also offered support to Ukrainian families recently settled in Canada to help them in their job search, including providing space, computer access and internet access to facilitate the search.
13 years of involvement in Ukraine for Agropur
The Cooperative has been involved for nearly 13 years in various SOCODEVI projects aimed at improving the living conditions of Ukrainian farming families. An internal fundraiser was organized in collaboration with the Red Cross to contribute to SOCODEVI's Ukraine Emergency Fund to help cooperative member families affected by the war.
