Agropur wins two awards at the canadian grand prix new products award
LONGUEUIL, QUÉBEC, CANADA – Agropur is proud to bring home two awards for its new 6-Year Aged Grand Cheddar at the Retail Council of Canada’s 29th Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards. We are especially honoured to receive the All-Canadian Award, which is given to the product with the highest average score out of all products developed, created and manufactured in Canada.
“This recognition highlights the incredible work of our master cheese agers and makers,” said Pierre-Édouard Chomette, Vice President of Fine Cheese at Agropur. “Patience and time are the key ingredients for producing premium fine cheese. That’s how we can continue to offer delicious, high-quality products to our customers and consumers year after year.”
Agropur’s 6-Year Aged Grand Cheddar is made at the Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil cheese factory and is sliced at the Beauceville factory. The Grand Cheddar also won the award for Best New Product in the Deli Meats and Cheeses category.
The prestigious Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards is an annual competition that recognizes the best new food and non-food products. The gala was held on June 1st in Toronto. The competition included 121 new products evaluated by a panel headed by Chef and Jury Chair Marcus Von Albrecht.
