Agropur is pleased that five of its cheeses were picked as the champions in their category at the World Championship Cheese Contest. In all, 3,400 cheeses from 26 countries were entered.
This project should, upon completion, increase the plant’s daily milk processing capacity from 3 million pounds to more than 9 million pounds.
For the fiscal year ended November 1, 2017, Agropur reported sales of $6.4 billion, a year-over-year increase of 7.7%. Earnings from operations rose 7.9% to $444.1 million.
Sixteen new regional champions received top honours at Agropur's 29th Club of Excellence gala, held in Québec City on January 26. The event paid tribute to dairy farms that recorded the best milk quality results among Agropur members.
