Eggnog: a drink to discover or rediscover!
The consumption of this dairy product is often associated with the holiday season because of its ingredients. Ingredients such as cinnamon, nutmeg and eggs were once considered luxury ingredients.
This beverage made from milk, cream, egg sugar and alcohol (cognac, rum or others) - according to the house recipes - has British roots. What is in a way the ancestor of eggnog dates back to the Middle Ages.
The English name for eggnog, or eggnog comes from nogging, which is a wooden cup used in pubs in England. Others think of it as the squeeze of egg and grog.
