Ice Cream Mixes that Delight Enthusiasts

Ice Cream Mixes that Delight Enthusiasts

Did you know Agropur’s soft ice cream mixes are available to prepare our favorite frozen desserts at home?

While mainly offered to the restaurant and food service sector, the ice cream mixes are also sold to consumers in a 2-liter, refrigerated liquid format. At home, the mixes can be prepared in machines - for ice cream or sorbet - which allow the incorporation of air into a frozen liquid to obtain a product with a soft and creamy texture, just like treats at the local dairy bar.

The mixes, prepared at our Québec City plant, are only available in Québec at Costco warehouses for businesses and at Mayrand warehouses, in two delicious flavors: vanilla and chocolate.

Did you know that...

Every third Sunday of July is celebrated as International Ice Cream Day? Agropur’s frozen product plants, located in Truro (Nova Scotia), Edmonton (Alberta), and Victoria (British Columbia), produce nearly 300 flavors of ice cream for a variety of brands.

There is a real craze for homemade ice cream on social media.

The emergence of small kitchen appliances for making frozen desserts have boosted this trend. These devices offer consumers the ability to quickly whip up homemade ice cream, sorbet, or a personalized smoothie with protein-rich or lactose-free homemade ingredients, unlike those found at the local dairy bar.

Here are two frozen recipes you can make at home with delicious Agropur products.

As to the small kitchen appliances mentioned, there has been a noticeable increase in the variety available on the market. They range from simple ice cream makers to more sophisticated machines that can also make sorbets and smoothies, allowing for a wide range of frozen desserts that can be made at home.
